Smelling the freshly baked ka’ek,

walking on one of the holiest spots on earth,

touching thousand year old stones,

the sounds of al Athan prayers merged with the church bells.

Well, this is Jerusalem,

unlike any other city.

Jerusalem is like a painting well drawn by its artist,

every single detail is unique on its own.

Through my installation what I wanted to deliver is the feeling I get when I am in Jerusalem, the arches, the colors, the eagerness to live regardless of the oppression subjected on the city. Fish are fragile creatures, but so are the light bulbs and they represent most of the people who are oppressed and humiliated, but one day they will be able to break free from the boundaries surrounding them. Flowers represent resistance of the people as in every spring it blooms eager to live as the cycle of life continues, hope never ends.
